A little bit more...
I’m here to be your business best friend - a trusted guide to help you build a business (and life) that feels purposeful, profitable, and entirely yours. Before I do that, I am sure you would like to get to know me just a little bit better!
My journey into entrepreneurship began long before I even knew what that word meant. Growing up, I was the kid hosting charity events, crafting newspapers with glue and scissors, and even running a mini “aquarium” at the harbour to raise money for the RNLI.
With self-employed parents who (luckily) cheered me on every step of the way, I learned early on the value of creativity, resourcefulness and doing what you love.Â
Fast forward to today, I’ve turned that quirky and creative entrepreneurial spirit into a career and life of which I am pretty proud.Â
After studying business management in college and university, I dove headfirst into industries like hospitality, retail, property and wellness. I work very long and often antisocial hours as I honed my skills as a General Manager, business manager and consultant.
Along the way, I have been part of founding four enterprises, including a successful village community shop in remote and rural Devon, a student property start-up, a café, and my very own e-commerce brand, which grew to national retail shelves at Superdrug and was sold for six figures.
But my story isn’t just about success - it’s about resilience, learning the hard way, a good dose of determination, and learning who I need around me to help me flourish.
A few years ago, my health took a hit due to a chronic autoimmune condition called Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. I was very poorly for many months and it forced me to sell my existing business and re-evaluate my priorities.
It wasn’t easy, but it taught me the importance of balance, self-care, and building a business that serves your life, not the other way around. I am now in a privileged point in my life where my work and my health can both have my attention when needed.
As a coach, I now bring all of that experience to the table to help you navigate the ups and downs of entrepreneurship with confidence. And so that you can shortcut some of things that I learned the long and hard way!
I’m here to demystify the process, simplify the chaos, and cheer you on every step of the way. I’ve been where you are, and I know how powerful and exciting it feels to overcome those hurdles and thrive.Â
When I’m not coaching, you can find me cycling, walking, pottering in the garden, doing yoga, learning to bake, or chatting with my three chickens (yes, out loud!).Â
My family keep me grounded, especially my nieces and nephews, big and little, who remind me that life is all about connection, growth, being present and (of course) a good helping of fun.Â
I’m also a proud step-mum to Reuben. He lights up our lives with his joyful smile, loving presence and resilience in the face of significant health issues and severe learning disabilities.
And lastly, but by no means least (!!), I am partner to Nick, who swapped the classroom for gardening and has the greenest fingers I know (apart from his Dad, who we lovingly refer to as 'The Oracle' when it comes to gardens).
